Harrington Group are very proud to introduce our tribute to Bugatti, perhaps the finest most elegant pre war racing cars built.

Our simple aim from the start has been to produce the highest quality toys available today. I will let you decide if you think we have achieved our goal!

 

Our models are fully functional childrens ride on toys. They are completely and 100% hand built by our team of dedicated professional enthusiasts. Each toy takes approximately 6 weeks to complete.

The bugattis are aimed at children of all ages from 5 to mid teen.

We do not use plastic at all in our models. The body is made of high grade composite (grp) hand laid in our own molds.

The chassis is a light but very strong tubular steel chassis- For ultimate strength this itself is bonded into the grp body during construction (in a similar way to the construction of a lotus elise!)

Power is by 2 electric hub motors. These are actually reworked electric bicycle motors! We modify these to include reverse gear. Both motors are in the rear wheels, being indivdualy controlled by 2 seperate speed contollers giving them individual torque- in other wods this acts like a differential.

All our cars are fitted with an ignition key and a horn.

The finish of our cars is ICI 2 pack paint- the highest quality automotive paint available. They are painted in a heated spray booth in the same way as a real car.

 

The wheels are split rims of our own design. 12 inch chrome steel rims, with our own cast aluminium 8-spoke-hubs designed to look like the original. Each wheel has dual wheel bearings. The knock off wheel centres come in a choice of turned aluminium or brass.

AllThe development of these toys has been a long and enjoyable process. I am by nature a fastidious perfectionist. The cars can only be described as over- engineered. Every single part is fully serviceable. The strength of the toys is second to none. In fact, these little cars are quite capable of carrying 4 adults without any noticeable affect on top speed! We have tried. We have also tested driving them into walls, doing 3 foot jumps! We really do not recommend anybody to try this- we did it as part of our testing procedure. I do not see how these toys will ever be discarded. The quality of manufacture means there is no reason as to why each of these cars will not be about in 100 years time. These cannot be compared in any way to a normal throwaway toy. They are designed to last for generations- quite literally!  the exposed metal work is chrome plated.   The grille surrounds are hand crafted polished stainless steel items.

The sea are hand trimmed with padding and piping like the original.

The cockpit is trimmed in wipe clean vinyl, with beautiful hand crafted wooden floor.

The dashboard is of brushed aluminium.

The steering wheel is cast aluminium with a choice of Bakelite style resin surround or varnished wood.

We also offer either racer style, orrod style with working headlights, and 4 wheelarches.
